We’ve had over hundreds of engineers from OEM, Tier 1 supplier and service consultancies, as well as academic students, take our online training courses. Online training is certainly the best way to learn a new technology, allowing students to learn at their own pace.
We’ve had excellent testimonials and reviews, both on course content and teaching style through our learning management system.
See below for a selection of these comments.
If like me you want to learn MSC Apex, the new FEA platform from MSC Software, do not hesitate, take this amazing online course from Evotech CAE Ltd prepared by Steffan Evans.
I just completed the online course and I’ve been impressed by the quality of the course. It is very well structured and very well presented. Very easy to understand and it permits to take the control of MSC Apex in few hours.
The course is based on videos and each topic is very well illustrated with tutorials built around a drone model. You can download the CAD files included in the course and replicate the tutorials thanks to a 14-days trial version of MSC Apex.
Thank you Steffan for preparing this course for us. You did a great job. Your contribution to the FEA community is priceless.
Dominique Madier, FEA Trainer, Analyst and Stress Engineer, FEA Academy
Steff’s formal training videos are absolutely outstanding. His detailed content and narrative pace are about the best I have seen.
I was able to go up the Apex learning curve very quickly with his material. The examples and modeling philosophy were ‘real world’.
Well worth the money!
Tony Abbey FRAeS, FEA Evangelist, Consultant and Mentor
The ‘Intro to FEA with MSC Apex’ course is self-contained, and the material is presented in the same way as an in-person training class, using pedagogical features and conceptual understanding to broaden the reader’s perspective on engineering problem-solving strategies.
The course is based on real-life examples, such as drone technology, and provides an industry-proven modelling technique.
I found it tremendously helpful, and it increased my productivity using Apex.
Bilal Merachli, Technical Specialist (Wing Structure) at Gulfstream Aerospace
Overall the ‘Intro to FEA with MSC Apex’ online course was structured very well and Evotech did a great job of breaking down the different topics with the video tutorials.
They were also easy to follow.
Nii Manor Nartey, Stress Engineer at Gulfstream Aerospace
A great training course!
Cezar Moisiade, Stress Engineer / Structures EAR at Gulfstream Aerospace
Evotech’s “Introduction to Non-Linear FEA with MSC Apex” course is in my opinion a must-do course when venturing into non-linear analyses using Apex in combination with Nastran’s SOL400.
The course supplies a quick and thorough understanding of non-linear FEA in general and a specific focus on how-to and why-do non-linear FEA with MSC Apex.
The capabilities of MSC Apex combined with the power of SOL400 are highlighted through the integrated course tutorials enabling you to start non-linear FEA from the bat.
Next to recommending this course to our own consultants, I recommended it to our customers as well.
Noël Bijl, Technical Manager at In Summa Innovation
Evotech’s Apex training course delivers a great learning experience. The presentation is excellent, guiding the user through a series of well thought out, realistic workshops with subassemblies building to a complete model.
Highly-recommended for both new and existing users.
Darrel Sinclair, Senior Technical Consultant at MSC Software
Having recently rolled out the Evotech Apex online training course to our Apex using community at MADG, I would recommend this course as being ideal for anyone who wishes to get up and running on MSC Apex quickly. Lots of vital information packed into a well structured agenda backed up by Steffan’s enthusiasm and clear deep understanding of the subject matter. The course has proved suitable for both seasoned FEM analysts new to the platform and young engineers with no FEM experience alike.
Ian Debenham, Principal Stress Engineer at Marshall Aerospace and Defence Group (MADG)
Just completed the EVOTECH “Introduction to FEA with MSC Apex” course. I think this is an excellent introduction to model build, and to solution with the inbuilt solver, or externally in Nastran. I found it a challenge at times, but very rewarding. I can see Apex being a great leap forward in rapid testing of ideas, and further development of structural solutions for new installations. Excellent tuition from Dr Steffan Evans at evotechcae.com
Colin Binks, Principal Stress Engineer at Marshall Aerospace and Defence Group (MADG)
Over the past few weeks, thanks to Steffan Evans from Evotech, and MSC Software, we have been able to get our heads around a new way of building detailed FE models with MSC Apex, through Evotech’s Introduction to FEA with MSC Apex.
It’s given me the opportunity to flex my FE muscles again. Steff’s course gave the fundamentals of geometry/mesh creation and setting up static and normal mode jobs in a clear, easy to understand manner that even I could follow. This gave me the building blocks I needed to step off and explore the rest of Apex. The video attached to this is the result of me going off piste from one of Steff’s tutorials and getting from geometry to a dynamic response, including modal contribution in far less time than it would have done previously (hours vs days). Impressive stuff!
Dr Matthew Acton, Structures Capability Lead, Team Tempest at BAE Systems
Enjoyed learning to use MSC Apex over the last few weeks using the EvotechCAE course run by Steffan Evans.
Apex is a very nice-looking and intuitive FEA program with loads of useful functions (including Sketchup-like geometry creation) and automatic features, and Steff’s videos and tutorials are fun and easy to follow but challenging enough to keep you engaged.
Now I just need to figure out how to make it work properly with my acoustics software…
Gwyn Richards, Aerodynamics Engineer at BAE Systems
Have been working through the excellent Introduction to FEA with MSC Apex online training course provided by Evotech CAE. Steffan Evans has designed a course that is very well structured and with well designed support material so you quickly get to the key point of each exercise.
It certainly gave me a good overview of the capabilities of this powerful piece of software and confidence that I could start using it ‘In anger’.
Andrew Molyneux, Senior Aerospace Structures Engineer
There is a lot of tech packed into Apex. It’s generative capabilities are incredible and at it’s heart is the inextricable link between mesh and geometry. Some of the capability I’ve explored:
- Mid-surface meshing tools with auto-thickness detection
- Built in solver for model verification & analysis
- Python based scripting for automation
Hisham Fayed, Senior F&DT Engineer at Spirit AeroSystems
Having some #FEAFurloughFun with the Evotech Computer-Aided Engineering Ltd Introduction to MSC Apex Course.
A very well put-together training package with excellent support from Steffan Evans.
Lyndsey Carson, Stress Engineer at Spirit AeroSystems
Happy to have completed the online MSC Apex course run by Dr Steffan Evans (Evotech Computer-Aided Engineering Ltd) and receive certification for it.
Looking forward to put the MSC Apex tool to good use now.
Asim Javed, Aerospace Structures Engineer at Spirit Aerosystems
Throughout the furlough period I decided to spend a few hours each week learning and practising with FEA Software, MSC Apex, with the help of Evotech Computer-Aided Engineering Ltd Introduction to MSC Apex Course.
The user friendly interface of Apex made for an easy and enjoyable training experience. I found that powerful capabilities like Direct Modelling resulted in drastically reduced Meshing times and I look forward to further development on Apex with full integration into my daily work on the horizon.
Thanks to MSC Software for providing us with the licenses and Steffan Evans for his continuous support with the training course, I would highly recommend this to anyone who is interested in MSC Apex.
Euan Cameron, Graduate Engineer at Spirit Aerosystems
