We’ve been involved with the development of many composite structures across a variety of mission-critical industries from aerospace and satellite, through to consumer goods ranging from wheelchairs to bicycles.
Good composite design will involve tailoring the structural characteristics to a product’s loading environment. While this approach can be hugely beneficial, often in terms of minimising mass and production cost, an FEA-based development strategy can be very labour intensive due to the number of input parameters, and volume of result data involved.
